I fit a 6’ tree in the trunk of my crown Vic width wise one year with the trunk closed. The seats don’t fold down either.

I finally got my new battery in (pain in the ass), so I drove it at the end of last week and again this morning. It’s becoming clear to me that it’s time for new suspension. Not an imminent need, but it’s riding pretty harsh, and replacing it will be $$$...

I had a coworker once go on a diatribe that any truck without a 6' bed is useless because you can’t even carry a sheet plywood or drywall. When I pointed out I’ve literally never needed to do that, and just want it for hauling dirty things and towing, he short circuited.

There is only ONE metric for bed usefulness - plywood and drywall.  That the only thing anyone ever needs to put in a bed.

Haha - nice. We tried to go the week prior, but the tree farm we like to go to was so packed that we decided to leave as soon as we pulled in. Took us 30 minutes just to leave the parking lot!

Went early Saturday morning and we were in and out in 15 mins.

I was the only one there, 11:00 on Friday and it’s 2 miles from my home . $70 for a 8' tree, ouch. Next year I’ll cut down my own for free

My parkade is 6'8" so I’m getting close with the Prinsu and maxtrax already.. My old cb used to be my height gauge -the vhf hits everything.

Canopy is different, I ended up selling the Arrow cap and going to a Range Rider.

It’s possible to put 2nd gen caps on the 3rd gen but they sit a few inches higher than the cab because of the higher box , and the taillgate and front edge areas have to be reworked.. Colour is different as well - Silver Streak Mica vs Silver Sky Metallic.

I’ll give you that, but it’s all part of the tradition that I grew up with as a kid (we’d go cut our own) and the tradition that we’re building with our kids. Take some time and some money, but worth it to me. =)
